Hogwarts Legacy’s return to Azkaban DLC unites fans across generations in celebration.
Fans agree that Hogwarts Legacy would benefit greatly from an excursion to Azkaban as a DLC add-on.
Prisoner of Azkaban remains popular to this day despite many years passing between reading its pages and living it through in my imagination. Even decades after my last encounter, Azkaban and Dementors remain prominent features in my thoughts as part of Harry Potter’s tale.
Reddit provided the ideal forum to voice one fan’s desire: they found great receptivity for his post that begins, “I would ideally love a DLC story expansion with Azkaban as its central plotline,” and continued by suggesting they introduce Expecto Patronum spell as well as Dementor enemies as new enemy types while creating more “dark” narrative around Azkaban.
The Hogwarts Legacy community responded enthusiastically. One reply read, in full agreement: “The glimpse inside Azkaban was terrifying… yes I agree”, while another suggested there could be questlines related to Azkaban for rescue or capture missions.
Harry Potter fans usually react enthusiastically whenever there’s any mention of Azkaban prison and its Dementor guards – iconic symbols of fear inflicted upon its inhabitants – appearing. It was an essential turning point in the series that signaled its darker direction; we shall soon know whether Hogwarts Legacy includes this as DLC content as something as monumental as Azkaban could play an integral part in any forthcoming sequels.
One comment by user/ogojo agrees, while also suggesting more features as potential DLC, adding “Yeah that would be amazing! And would love an explorable Gringotts full of crazy roller coasters from one area to the other!”
Who knows where this game could head next, with plenty of material that could inspire future additions?
