There appears to be an established timeline for the highly-anticipated Assassin’s Creed Red. This chapter in the franchise finally brings assassins to Japan and begins their missions there.

Arisa Lagunzad of Ubisoft noted on LinkedIn that Codename Red will become their biggest blockbuster for 2024 – though at least we know its arrival soon enough! I don’t know what else we could be playing next!

Since 2007, fans of Assassin’s Creed have longed for an installment set in feudal Japan, as this period and place were ideal for stealth action games like those found within it. Plus, Japan itself is a stunning country that Ubisoft has done an exceptional job recreating.

Ubisoft hasn’t given much away about this game just yet, but if its release in 2024 goes as scheduled, we should expect an in-depth trailer shortly showcasing more about this dual-protagonist stealth entry in the series. So far, all we know for sure is that players will control both shinobi and ninjas in taking down members from an underground organization; all standard stuff here!

Lagunzad continued on LinkedIn by writing that AC fans most wanted Japanese history and culture and seeking sponsors for “Assassin’s Creed Codename RED for next year.” Arisa appears to be seeking multi-media partners looking to capitalize on podcasts or manga series as possible capitalization strategies.

Assassin’s Creed has seen enormous success following its latest offering, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, with its more refined approach featuring smaller maps and shorter stories set during 9th-century Baghdad – drawing praise for accurately reflecting both time and culture from that era.
