Hogwarts Legacy Nintendo Switch gameplay debuts online – First player playthrough ever shown online
Hogwarts Legacy will make its long-awaited Nintendo Switch debut on November 14, and we now have our first look at gameplay footage on this console.
Fans had long speculated that Hogwarts Legacy wouldn’t release on Switch; after missing its scheduled inclusion at Nintendo Direct events, which showcase games scheduled to release before December, we already knew of its changes for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, such as loading screens being added and exterior bridges converted into interior corridors to reduce load times for environments. Now, however, screenshots have surfaced, giving some indication as to any modifications we might expect on a Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy – and are finally providing insight.
Reddit user jozefd14 shared screenshots from Japan’s Nintendo eShop that showcase the graphics far better than you might be anticipating, sharing them to Reddit as screenshots were published there. Naturally, resolution may differ slightly when compared with PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, but that should be expected.
RotenTumato noted, “That looks quite impressive for a Switch game – I’d be curious to know how well it performs,” while another joke, “Five minutes to leave the main staircase and load outside, take it or leave it,” both made valid points though.
Hogwarts Legacy certainly looks impressive on Nintendo Switch, though we still do not know its performance in detail. Devs delayed release several times to achieve optimal quality; hopefully, we won’t encounter too many bugs and glitches upon its November 14 release date. We shall soon discover more!
