New Teaser for Assassin’s Creed Red Female Character Is Outstanding
Details regarding Assassin’s Creed Red are still scarce, although we do know some key information such as it being set in feudal Japan with two assassins as protagonists – apart from this information being leaked out we’re left guessing as we wait and hope!
Pierre Boudreau shared with us in his now deleted LinkedIn update an image showing us an iconic female character wielding a katana; dressed in dark gray robe and sporting long dark hair, her weapon held behind her back – it’s great that we finally get this update of one of the protagonists being female!
LinkedIn image, used as banner image of writer’s profile, gave us a peek of their new logo; an “A” shape rendered more painterly to reflect Kanji brush strokes.
Fans have long desired a female protagonist after years of seeing predominantly male assassins in Access The Animus titles, so when an image appeared on Access The Animus social media following it being passed via Discord it caused quite the controversy among users – including some debating the legitimacy of female assassins, while also commenting on their looks. Furthermore, Ubisoft seems committed to diversity, with one suspect believed to be of African heritage who learned Creed ways from Ubisoft’s champions for Ubisoft diversity initiatives; thus it appears on Access The Animus social media as soon as it came via Discord server. Unfortunately this led to much discussion among players online who has since disregarded Ubisoft diversity initiatives; one suspect who learned Creed skills may even come in later editions of Creed 3.0
Mirage, the latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, took us back to Baghdad. Assassin’s Creed games are famed for transporting us around the globe and visiting beautiful cities as well as intriguing eras in history; praise recently heaped on Mirage for its authentic look at Baghdad is promising for an excellent journey into ancient Japan!
