PlayStation players discover free store credit glitch.
Video game prices continue to soar and more of us turn to subscription services like PlayStation Plus to access them more affordably; one subscriber may have just found an ‘infinite’ free store credit glitch!
PlayStation users can sign up to PlayStation Stars, a loyalty programme which rewards users with limited release digital collectables or points. While you could sign up alone for this service, pairing it with PS Plus provides extra opportunities to rack up points with every eligible purchase made from PlayStation store.
Points can be exchanged for PSN wallet funds, meaning if you earn enough points you could potentially purchase games at near cost or free! According to one player on Reddit PS Plus you could even earn points without realising it as long as you subscribed to its loyalty programme!
“Just redeemed 5,000 PlayStation Stars points for a $20 gift card and I don’t understand why any other reward exists?” they asked. They added, “I had completely forgot I enrolled, until an email notification that they leveled up somehow so they checked their accounts to discover they had points, redeeming all but 15,000 points on Sekiro (a PS30 game available every sale versus getting 15000 points worth a PS60 gift card instead! Very flawed system).”
At 5000 points earned through our program, redeeming it will enable you to get a PS20 gift card – meaning just being subscribed helps earn points to put towards some expensive titles on your wishlist! Although earning those points might take some time and patience – but definitely worth your while for future gaming experiences!
Sony may not seem like the most efficient marketer but, if this initiative leads to free games for me, then sign me up!
