Elden Ring: Dark Moon offers you an entire sequel you can experience for free.
Elden Ring fans haven’t received any new content for quite some time; with no set release date set for Shadow of the Erdtree DLC yet announced, fans must find creative and novel ways to stay active within Lands Between until new updates arrive.
Elden Ring remains popular over a year after it first premiered, winning Game of the Year at The Game Awards and receiving accolades for its engaging storyline, epic boss battles and expansive world.
Since February of this year when Shadow of the Erdtree DLC was first revealed, fans were eagerly awaiting its appearance; unfortunately it may take longer than originally hoped to arrive on shelves. However, modders are on hand with exciting content like Elden Ring Dark Moon which provides new experiences without breaking the bank – think “free sequel”.
The Dark Moon mod by auramalexander on Nexus Mods is “an overhaul focused on new content and fashion souls based on Elden Ring.” A dedicated Wikipedia page showcases all its features; these include new armour, weapons, items and spells; huge updates to character creation; new mechanics; boss encounters with unique mechanics; combat overhaul; merchants who sell these mods as well as more!
As can be seen, this mod completely revamps the base game and pairs perfectly with mods such as Resurrection which provides extensive improvements for any existing issues in-game.
Due to Shadow of the Erdtree being so far off in development and only vague mention of Elden Ring 2, official content from FromSoftware may take some time before being seen on screen; but fear not; modders have your back!
