Fans have taken great note of the new PlayStation hardware. They are truly pleased.
PlayStation is continually unveiling new hardware. I can barely keep up with their release – their most recent offerings, the PULSE Explore and PULSE Elite headphones have already garnered accolades among their fan base.
Staying current with PlayStation hardware requires an investment. The major draw is, of course, our shiny new PlayStation 5, complete with detachable disc drive and reduced weight and volume as well as increased storage capability compared to its predecessor (original model has sold out now!). In addition, there’s the handheld streaming device PlayStation Portal as well as new PULSE Elite and PULSE Explore headphones being added into this lineup of products.
PULSE Elite and Explore are “the first PlayStation audio devices equipped with custom-designed planar magnetic drivers to deliver an audiophile-level listening experience usually found only in premium headphones for professional sound engineers,” as stated on PlayStation Blog. Both will retail for PS129.99 each while Explores are slightly more costly at PS199.99 each; neither one are yet available for sale though!
PULSE Explore wireless buds are expected to launch globally starting December 6 in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium Luxembourg Netherlands Italy Spain Portugal Japan Canada Australia & New Zealand with the Elite headset following shortly after (21 February). A PlayStation Link USB Adaptor may also be purchased separately at PS19.99 for easy connection between devices.
Fans have already expressed great enthusiasm about Sony’s high-end headphones for gaming; one fan wrote “Actually really excited for the buds”, while another commented, “These are surprisingly high quality for their price! Haven’t decided yet which Portal I want, but these seem very exciting!” It is good that they are making high quality gaming headphones like these from Sony; hopefully they live up to our expectations and deliver as promised!
