Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players have expressed displeasure with its 3-hour campaign mode, finding themselves disappointed by it and dissatisfied.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III players were unimpressed with its campaign length which clocks in at approximately three hours – much shorter than players may have anticipated.
Modern Warfare III began life as an expansion to 2022’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, though devs ultimately decided it could stand alone as its own game. Unfortunately, however, recently discovered evidence that suggested otherwise: you actually must launch Modern Warfare II to play Modern Warfare III; further compounding DLC claims. Not to mention taking up more storage and being unplayable to some users during early access – plus with its short campaign Modern Warfare III is becoming even less appealing!
Modern Warfare III has already received numerous negative reviews since it launched last November – something its predecessor, Modern Warfare II, achieved the most successful Call of Duty launch ever. I imagine Activision may now be reviewing how they went so wrong this time around; unfortunately MWIII doesn’t officially go live until 10 November but those who preordered can already start enjoying early access.
Early access for Call of Duty Remastered just ended recently; many players found they only required three to four hours to finish its main campaign, as reported by Eurogamer. One irate player wrote in to Eurogamer saying “I played one hour of [the] campaign before asking for my refund, as did another who played several lacklustre raid episodes out together; having recently completed CoD Remastered recently this game failed to capture what it means to experience an enjoyable campaign experience”.
Another commenter expressed surprise and anger. They noted, however, that it had always been apparent. If one considers closely enough there were only ever going to be two or three missions that truly stood out while open combat became just another feature in CoD’s campaign[s] going forward and nothing more; and “This slap in the face comes at just the wrong moment; I am shocked and appalled; though one must say the writing was on the wall all along!” Ultimately this decision signalled its demise officially as only focus on building out their Warzone map while adding all experiences into it.”
“This campaign of Call of Duty was truly appalling, and all those involved should feel disgraceful for sending it out,” noted another post. I expect we’ll witness plenty of fallout as time progresses from this scandalous campaign.
