GTA 6 leak hints of San Andreas-inspired gang wars

Now is an opportune moment: while we may still await an official Grand Theft Auto VI reveal, new details have surfaced regarding its release date and gameplay capabilities.

Oct is over, yet no trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI materialised as promised by numerous insiders. Many assured fans they’d get one between 26 October and the 26th; Rockstar Games even added fuel to this speculation when a private video appeared on their site, adding further speculation to fan’s excitement about when we might see one – insiders are now suggesting we won’t even hear of its reveal until Spring 2024/2025 (Rockstar plans on releasing game between 2024-2025, however! ); leaks suggest it might feature San Andreas style gang wars within its walls!

Reddit user Tobbelobben30 published the leak, detailing many aspects of GTA VI but I want to focus in on one subsection entitled ‘Factions’. According to their OP’s text “This could suggest expanding GTA San Andreas’ faction system by making warring groups, alliances, and territorial disputes more central in GTA VI.” Certainly an exciting development and characteristically befitting of its successor title GTA VI!

GTA VI looks set to advance several systems and technologies that were seen in prior Rockstar releases, according to various leaks. We know from faction news alone that Red Dead Redemption 2’s ageing system will be built upon, with more autonomy over how easily identifiable players may become by law enforcement authorities. Another leak also indicates major modifications were made in GTA VI’s wanted system with players now having greater say over when law enforcement will recognise them by having much greater autonomy over when and why this occurs.

Fans are thrilled by the prospect of expanded factions. One fan wrote “IF THE FACTIONS THING IS INTRODUCED I WILL BE SO EXCITED!! As previously stated this game could become the most diverse ever with so many mechanics and so complex each…I can only hope the best for this game,” while reading comments that read like one read below: Come on Rockstar don’t disappoint us now
