The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind remake trailer is astonishingly effective.
Bethesda seems unlikely to remake Morrowind anytime soon despite remakes’ current popularity; however, we can use fan projects as an indicator of what a potential Morrowind remake could look like.
Bethesda has been hard at work providing post-launch support to Starfield. While we know the Shattered Space expansion will come out eventually, no details or release date has been provided as of yet. In the meantime, developers are working on adding quality-of-life features like city maps. Patch updates so far have focused mainly on small technical or visual upgrades; still I expect big things in its future! After Starfield comes The Elder Scrolls VI; those hoping for Morrowind nostalgia may want to check out this fan-made remake.
No underselling the impressive scale of Skywind is in order. Skywind is an ingenious total conversion mod of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that transforms it into Morrowind; progress made thus far has been astounding. A recent trailer showed Corprus disease blowing through Morrowind from Ashlands of Morrowind into Morrowind itself and inflicting mind and flesh damage upon those exposed to its evil presence – truly not something anyone wants. PC Gamer reported how these deadly diseases infect minds while damaging flesh at its source from Morrowind Ashlands to infect minds while damaging flesh from those exposed.
Corprus Stalkers make for deadly beings to hunt. Unfortunately, Skywind is still being developed so you cannot yet jump in but enjoy this trailer to gain an idea of its high quality design and development.
“So very pleased to acquire Skywind! No matter the length of time it may take – Morrowind through Creation Engine remains something I eagerly anticipate,” wrote one fan, while another raved: “Great voice acting with more impact than when broad scan-reading dialogue boxes; can’t wait for final product! Will keep an eye out!.” We will surely keep an eye out on this project.”
