PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X may witness significant price cuts
Could Black Friday bring our dreams true? Not mine personally since I already purchased both consoles; however, those yet to purchase an Xbox or PlayStation 5 may benefit from significant price discounts to ease financial strain.
No matter where the lines are drawn; both brands are currently facing unsatisfied fans due to lackluster freebies or AI partnerships. While a big sale won’t reverse any mistakes either brand has committed, perhaps it can help gamers forget just how frustrated they feel; after all, gamers are notoriously difficult customers!
Rumors of major price drops are just that–rumors. With Black Friday still two weeks away, we may or may not get those incredible offers we were anticipating.
Industry analyst @MauroNL3 claims these deals will come to pass, with Xbox going head-to-head against PlayStation in terms of value for money. He posted, “Microsoft will offer an Xbox Series X “soft” bundle including Modern Warfare III at EUR489 (about EUR130 below the RRP; likely Black Friday offer). Sony plans on debuting their PS5 (Non Slim) Modern Warfare III Bundle this week at EUR619 RRP.”
Not that the money off isn’t tempting, but I believe Modern Warfare III holds little appeal among fans who were disappointed by its short campaign and limited content. Unfortunately, no matter the discounts may not convince would-be shoppers to pull out their debit cards and buy.
Before hearing from either Microsoft or Sony directly about potential deals, this remains speculation and could potentially turn out to be fruitless. Still, having your funds on standby just in case could prove worthwhile.
