As soon as Assassin’s Creed Echoes launches online, players should expect something completely unique from it.
There’s been much discussion in the Assassin’s Creed community recently; AC Mirage released, prompting speculation, teasers, news updates, rumor mongering, teasers and teases regarding future titles like Red and Hexe while others like AC Echoes are garnering much interest among fans as it takes its franchise in new directions.
After having covered so much ground already in this series, it may seem as though nothing else remains for it to do. Surprisingly though, there’s actually plenty left in AC Red: not only has Ubisoft announced plans to explore Aztec history in one title while providing substantial proof that AC Red will feature futuristic environments and locations.
Reddit reports of current Ubisoft projects have indicated that Assassin’s Creed Codename Echoes may already be in its concept stages, according to an Insider Gaming article adapted by Reddit. Development for Echoes has begun at Ubisoft Annecy studio located in France known for providing multiplayer elements in previous AC titles as well as Splinter Cell titles; their expertise may allow Echoes to utilize Ubisoft Scalar technology fully in multiplayer instalments like this one.
Interest has heightened among fans of Ubisoft games; however, many remain wary and critical; some even going so far as to publicly criticize their company. One user noted “Ubisoft is so out of touch with its fans and former fans it’s pitiful. They seem disconnected from reality” before adding how all media “just features remastered/remade/rebooted material”, although fair, this problem does not solely exist with Ubisoft.
Although fans have expressed some reservations in discussion threads about AC:Echoes’ expansion, most fans remain eagerly curious as we wait for its reveal. Echoes is scheduled for launch “TBA”, meaning we face another long wait before knowing whether Echoes is worth waiting for or will even see production; who knows with Ubisoft still making changes for Skull and Bones after so many delays and setbacks!
