Fallout 5 brings Scotland into view in this impressive fan trailer!
One fan has unveiled an ingenious idea for a Fallout game set during post-apocalyptic Scotland, providing the series with a refreshing take.
Fallout games have always eschewed exploring locations outside the U.S. when searching for new open world environments to play in.
That won’t likely change anytime soon either: both Fallout TV show will take place in Los Angeles while when development for Fallout 5 finally commences it may pick a different US state as its setting.
Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic survival series exists in an alternate reality where nuclear bombs decimated humanity – beginning in America but spreading across the planet, and so it’s always fascinating to consider what other real world locations would look like after nuclear arms dropped on them.
Some fans have taken this concept and run with it, such as creating unofficial projects to bring Unreal Engine 5 series to London and Scotland respectively, such as this Unreal Engine 5 trailer currently available on YouTube.
The trailer takes us through some “charming” Scottish landscapes devastated by nuclear winter, where dark greens, greys and blacks cohere perfectly with Fallout art style, which tends towards darker and subdued colors to match its themes.

Mojo Swoptops, creator of this trailer, said she needed to “avoid dwelling too heavily on Edinburgh itself as she hails from there herself”.
Evidently, this masterpiece was assembled using a Far Cry 5 map editor which can create some truly spectacular builds if used skillfully by those possessing enough talent and dedication to master it.
Since Bethesda hasn’t announced an official Fallout game for some time yet, fan projects like these provide plenty of excitement while we await new official entries into their universe.
