GTA 6 meets The Getaway in this new open-world London game!
Grand Theft Auto VI may finally have received recognition by Rockstar Games, yet could face competition in the form of Open World Theft Auto 6.
Rockstar Games took to Twitter yesterday evening and announced that GTA VI’s first full-length trailer will debut sometime early December – an announcement which quickly went viral, becoming one of the most-talked-about gaming tweets of all-time. Since this revelation fans are convinced GTA VI might go by another name altogether while Take-Two Interactive have dropped an incredible release window hint; anyways if you enjoy GTA and Team Soho’s 2002 hit release The Getaway then keep an eye out for ENDS as soon as we know!
ENDS, developed by Concrete Realm and being crowdfunded on Kickstarter, is an action adventure game with RPG elements for single player play that currently aims to connect people through crowdfunding. As their campaign synopsis states: ENDS explores “not everyone is born special – some may inherit grand houses and cars while for the average citizen, survival alone is often difficult”.
“Rahim was raised ‘normally.’ Inherent with that is only responsibility of providing food on the table; yet all three friends, Sonny and Reece were raised surrounded by safety, community and belonging; yet in truth it became an ongoing cycle of maintaining order, profiting from addiction, removing anyone in their way – as young men they must decide: Will they represent the community that raised them by remaining normal or pursue something greater?” Truly captivating story.
ENDS claims it aims to deliver “the most authentic London experience ever brought to gaming”, drawing inspiration from UK culture with its story line and narrative elements inspired by “UK Lore”. I expect there’ll be Greggs at every street corner… just kidding :p The game also promises partnerships with real UK brands and celebrity figures as well as release on multiple major platforms simultaneously.
As previously discussed, you can support ENDS now on Kickstarter and wait to see whether their ambitious ideas come to fruition in 2025 when their beta releases and main release is scheduled to occur. As always though – stay tuned.
