Rockstar Parent Company Announces GTA 6 Release Date Change

Rockstar Games finally acknowledges Grand Theft Auto VI; or more accurately ‘the next Grand Theft Auto game’.

Fans are already disappointed that Rockstar does not refer to GTA VI by name alone; suggesting another title. Rockstar announced they’ll release the first trailer for this highly-anticipated title sometime during December – possibly at The Game Awards which take place on 7 December? We do not yet have an exact release window nor a release trailer but Take-Two Interactive may have just given a major hint!

As reported by Dexerto, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick indicated a 2025 release window during an earnings call yesterday. He commented on how both 2024 and 2025 are projected to generate significant amounts of profit for Take-Two Interactive; and expressed optimism regarding what games were currently in development by their studio. While Zelnick made similar statements before, his statement last time mentioned 2025 rather than 2024 as lucrative years for their firm.

Zelnick explained: “Our development pipeline is robust and diverse, and we are quickly closing in on creating groundbreaking titles our audiences around the globe have been anticipating. My commitment to being the most creative, innovative and efficient entertainment company gives me great hope that our offerings will surpass players’ expectations while setting new standards of creative excellence within our industry.”

After next month’s trailer release, however, we still face an interminable wait – though that means at least some speculation may finally end!
