Are you intrigued by the thought of firing NPCs instead of bullets with your gun? If that is the case for you, this intriguing and unique story may catch your interest.

Grand Theft Auto can be an impressively creative series thanks to Rockstar Games’s highly creative development team. GTA goes far beyond being just an open world cops-and-robbers game; in later installments it often presents nonplayer characters, aliens, Big Foot encounters or unexpected scenarios with random encounters and encounters happening all across its vast terrains.

Grand Theft Auto V has provided players with plenty of guns, perhaps none more so than in Grand Theft Auto V itself; yet one weapon was absent – an NPC gun!

According to PCGamesN and an anonymous blog post by an ex-Rockstar Games developer, Grand Theft Auto IV produced at one point used NCPs as bullets! Technical Director Obbe Vermeij of Rockstar North between 1995 and 2009 confirmed this information and noted how this weapon never made it into any version of GTA, although perhaps as an easter egg in GTA VI we might yet discover its hidden treasure!

GTA III fans might recall shooting the moon and witnessing its size change upon shot being made by Vermeij; she explained this was done due to developers not being able to decide upon how large to make it in-game, therefore leaving players to decide.

“Four artists were at my desk asking me to alter the size of the moon; two wanted it smaller to appear more realistic; while two others wanted larger moons in order to add cinematic elements,” wrote Peter on his blog.

Grand Theft Auto VI still doesn’t have an official release date but we expect its debut trailer to debut sometime around early December. GTA VI should hit shelves between 2024-2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
