Unreal Engine 5 horror games have never looked more realistic; their terrifying scenes make you shudder in fear!
Halloween season may have passed us by already this year, but that doesn’t have to mean an end of horror-fueled fun! I may just have what you’re searching for – allow me to introduce you to ILL.
Team Clout inc has been hard at work on an Unreal Engine 5 horror title called ILL for some time, which looks positively spine-chilling. Like Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol before it, ILL promises to test both nerves and resolve. Unfortunately though, its synopsis remains fairly vague: “Step into a sinister settlement to confront its growing horror and discover an unnerving truth behind its descent into madness”… as per official description; is anyone ready to confront their deepest fears? Nah? Not quite…
So far, first-person gameplay released for ILL consists of its protagonist moving through dilapidated environments while carrying both a revolver and radio armed with them. Not surprisingly, they’re not alone: one monstrosity recalling The Last of Us Part II’s Rat King but with more tentacle-like bits is also present… I don’t quite understand what that creature means yet!
Unreal Engine 5 powering the game gives ILL some stunning graphics based on what we’ve seen so far, with hopeful players being able to track its development through Patreon. Team Clout recently signed on a partner without disclosing who it may be; although paperwork may slow things down initially but should provide additional support and visibility going forward for ILL.
Thus far, no date for ILL has been set – its release could even take years! But I do anticipate something truly amazing from it should it ever make its debut.
