GTA 6 first official look confirms Vice City is back.
Rockstar Games released an official look at Grand Theft Auto VI today; until specifically instructed otherwise.
Rockstar Games announced last November that we’d get our first gameplay trailer of GTA VI by early December; today (1 December), Rockstar confirmed we can watch its official gameplay debut at 2pm GMT on 5 December – this feeling of anticipation cannot be described! Finally it is happening.
Rockstar Games announced, before unveiling their GTA VI trailer, their official artwork confirming what many suspected: GTA VI will indeed take place in Vice City.
Not that this should come as any great shock; leaks from last year showed it all along. Rockstar has yet to comment, yet leaked gameplay clearly depicts Vice City. For those unfamiliar, Vice City is Rockstar’s take on Miami; since 2002’s Vice City GTA, we haven’t seen its presence back.
Others have pointed out the artwork accompanying GTA VI trailer announcement is unmistakably representative of Vice City. There’s an alluring sunset, clear skies, and palm trees that harken back to Vice City itself.
Rockstar may surprise us, but GTA VI seems likely to take us back to Florida’s fictional Vice City. Leaks suggest it will likely be much larger than what appeared on PlayStation 2, suggesting perhaps there will even be multiple towns and cities outside Vice City to explore in GTA VI.
