Starfield Steam reviews become predominantly negative post-Christmas.

Starfield certainly isn’t doing too well at present – its developers had high hopes that Christmas miracle would save it, yet mostly negative reviews exist on Steam now.

Bethesda would likely find relief if this only affected Steam, yet poor reviews on all platforms continue to escalate; Starfield continues to slide further from favour with every passing hour – it truly is that bad.

Not only have gamers lamented Starfield for lacking its “staying power”, modders trying to incorporate multiplayer expansions also considered it trash, leaving many disappointed and longing for gifts they may never received this Christmas season. Unfortunately, its legacy remains one of disappointment and broken promises like any Christmas could.

“This game itself is simply boring and uninspired” can often make for an effective start of review. “It was designed with safety in mind; its protagonist has few distinguishing traits or personal history to draw the player in; its characters occasionally stand out but often lack interest; companions tend to share similar opinions on everything and appear lifeless at best; visual quality also leaves something to be desired due to Skyrim-esque zoom-in effects when talking.”

No doubt this review represents only the worst reviews available; but, there have been much harsher ones as well. While there have been positive comments among all this negativity, even these praise the numerous “problems” Starfield presents.

At GAMINGbible, we gave this game high marks for both its potential and ambition. While we still believe this can fulfill its promise before launch, Bethesda needs to work harder if they hope to woo over any fans that may have drifted away since its initial debut.
