GTA 6 length may be shorter than expected, according to industry analysts.
Grand Theft Auto fans have been patiently waiting nearly 2000 years for GTA VI and have high hopes.
GTA VI’s trailer has amazed audiences with its accurate depiction of Florida, even prompting one resident to request Rockstar Games pay them $2 Million as compensation for using them as models in GTA VI. All this anticipation leaves one wondering just how big GTA VI will actually become?
According to one GTA expert, GTA VI may not be quite as large as expected. According to Legacy Killa HD of Rockstar Games’ YouTuber Legacy Killa HD, the new title may actually come closer in length comparisons between itself and Red Dead Redemption 2 than some expected. Killa also leaked Project Americas back in 2019, so while GTA VI does not officially carry that label anymore it was internally known by that name at some stage during development.
LK HD claims they have heard GTA VI is 35 to 40 hours in terms of story alone; when factoring in side activities and open world activities we could easily triple that playtime figure. One could certainly argue Red Dead Redemption 2’s story is too long but as far as I am concerned any open world game should offer me at least 35 hours worth of story before leaving me free to do whatever else takes my fancy with my remaining free time!
This YouTuber emphasizes this information was heard last year and could have changed significantly since. Please take all this with a grain of salt at this stage; with GTA VI set to come out later in 2025, Rockstar may begin sharing more throughout 2024.
