Hogwarts Legacy developers unveil an unreal Engine 5 adventure.
Hogwarts Legacy fans could be in for an incredible treat following the developer’s announcement that it will create new adventures using Unreal Engine 5.
2023 was an incredible year of video game releases, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Baldur’s Gate 3. However, many great titles may have fallen through the cracks – Hogwarts Legacy from Avalanche Software may have gone unnoticed until later.
Hogwarts Legacy takes place during the 1890s before Harry Potter, placing you as an entering student to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for five years before entering your fifth. Furthermore, you are invited to explore Hogwarts Castle like never before: its halls and lush outdoor surroundings make the experience unparalleled, and one reason fans consider Hogwarts Legacy Castle one of the premier open-world games ever produced!
What lies in store for Avalanche Software next? Fans hope the development studio is demanding at work on Hogwarts Legacy 2. That said, Avalanche Software wasn’t solely responsible for Hogwarts Legacy: other studios like Studio Gobo may also help and share their workload; such was the case of Hogwarts Legacy itself!
Studio Gobo has long been involved with Hogwarts Legacy and Arkane Lyon’s Redfall, although details about Redfall should remain private. According to Gamesusual, Studio Gobo has begun recruiting developers interested in working on an unannounced action-adventure game powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Studio Gobo has advertised multiple positions to fill as part of this AAA quality multiplatform game: senior environment artist and lead designer roles. It seems reasonable that this Unreal Engine 5 title may appear across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. They currently seek applicants.
As is to be expected, details on this unannounced project remain extremely sketchy; we’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear any more information.
