If you’re a lover of the Call of Duty series or you’re not, it’s clear that it’s among the most successful and largest series of all time, and every new launch will always be a huge occasion.

In the midst of months of speculation Activision finally announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to the public by releasing a quite insignificant teaser trailer which offered nothing information about the game. The marketing materials appeared to support one of the most debated moments of the past, that is the location for the Gulf War which looks to play a prominent role in the next Call of Duty release.

Another rumour suggested that the ex-president of Iraq, Saddam Hussein will play a prominent role within the game. This is logical considering Black Ops 6 looks to take place during the Gulf War. There are also rumours about the possibility that Black Ops 6 won’t be launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One however, this does not seem to be the case.

In addition, it’s known the fact that Black Ops 6 will be available through Xbox Game Pass with Activision becoming a company owned by Microsoft this means that Call of Duty the Call of Duty franchise a exclusive property under the green brand, despite being a multi-platform game.

With Black Ops 6 launching on Xbox Game Pass, many gamers were worried that Microsoft might profit from the possibility by adding a fee for the subscription. As reported by Eurogamer The next game within the Call of Duty series will be accessible to all customers regardless of tiers, which includes Xbox Game Pass Core, Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

“Upon launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be playable on Xbox and PC for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass for Console members,” A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed to Eurogamer.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 isn’t a confirmed launch date as at this time, aside from an early 2024 launch date and a release date that is likely to be announced during the Xbox Games Showcase on 9 June. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch in the following platforms: PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
