Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Will Include Multiplayer, Job Listing Confirms
A new job listing from CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the **Cyberpunk 2077 sequel**, known as **Project Orion**, will feature **multiplayer gameplay** alongside its single-player experience.
The game is currently in **pre-production** at CDPR’s Boston studio. While details remain scarce, the studio continues hiring for key roles. The latest listing seeks a **Senior Gameplay Programmer** whose responsibilities include building gameplay systems for both **single-player and multiplayer** modes.
This aligns with previous job posts from 2024 and early 2025 that hinted at multiplayer features. CDPR has previously looked for developers with experience in **combat design for multiplayer** and a **Lead Network Programmer** to help build online functionality.
Although multiplayer is now all but confirmed, fans of single-player RPGs can rest easy. CDPR CEO **Michael Nowakowski** recently reassured fans that **single-player games remain a priority**, promising Project Orion will still deliver a strong solo experience.
**Project Orion** was first announced in 2022, with full development beginning in 2024. A release date has not been set.
