Pokemon Home Update Adds Starter Medal Trading Feature on Mobile
The latest Pokemon Home update, version 3.3.0, has officially launched for mobile devices, introducing a new collectable and tradeable medal system. Available now on iOS and Android, this update brings a fresh layer of interaction for trainers using the app.
The new medal feature highlights Starter Pokemon trios from each mainline region, including Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, and Paldea, with nine different medals available to collect and trade. These medals can be earned through special Pokemon events or from Pokemon Center locations, and traded between users via friend connections or scannable codes.
After updating, players receive three copies of a random Starter medal. For example, the Sinnoh medal includes Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, while the Johto version features Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile. Free users have limited medal storage, while subscribers gain access to more slots.
This update follows recent Pokemon Home features like distributing Shiny Mythical Pokemon for completing regional Pokedexes. Shiny Meltan and Shiny Keldeo were recently made available through these completions—offering rare rewards for dedicated players.
With events like Pokemon GO Fest in June and the 2025 Pokemon World Championships in August, fans will have more chances to obtain and trade medals. Trainers can track medal availability and related events directly in the app by tapping the Medals tab.
Pokemon Home version 3.3.0 is now available for download on mobile.
