World of Warcraft has unveiled the Turbo Boost event, designed to accelerate player progression during The War Within Season 2. Running from May 13 until the release of Patch 11.2, this event introduces a host of enhancements aimed at speeding up gear upgrades, rewards, and progression.
Key features of the Turbo Boost event include:
– **Extended Gear Upgrades:** Hero and Mythic gear upgrade tracks are now extended to 8 levels (up from 6).
– **Increased Drop Rates:** Warband and Equipped gear will drop twice as often in Mythic+ dungeons.
– **Delve Enhancements:** Delves will offer more rewards, including bonus Crests, Valorstones, and progress for Brann’s journey.
– **Crafting Boosts:** Gear made with Sparks of Fortune can be further enhanced using Augmentation Matrices.
– **Weekly Quest:** Players can earn Puzzling Cartel Chips by defeating four bosses from Liberation of Undermine. Three chips allow the purchase of one piece of raid gear (six chips maximum per character).
While the event offers valuable progression boosts, some fans have expressed disappointment over restrictions on obtaining Heroic and Mythic gear through Puzzling Cartel Chips, comparing it to similar systems from past expansions.
