Blizzard Shares How Player Housing Items Will Be Earned in WoW: Midnight
Blizzard has revealed new details on how players will unlock housing decorations in *World of Warcraft’s* upcoming *Midnight* expansion. Set to launch between late 2025 and early 2026, *Midnight* will officially introduce long-awaited player housing to the game.
According to Blizzard, player housing items will be obtainable through several methods:
– **Vendor Purchases**: Basic items like chairs and shelves will be available for gold from NPCs.
– **Crafting**: Profession-crafted furniture can be made and sold via the Auction House.
– **Reputation Rewards**: Faction-themed items, like a Stormwind Hall Rug, will be unlocked by reaching reputation milestones.
– **Achievements**: Legacy and current achievements will retroactively unlock special decorations, such as Onyxia’s head as a wall-mounted trophy.
Blizzard also confirmed that “transmog-style” grinds for rare housing drops won’t be required. However, legacy content currencies, reps, and achievements will still be relevant. Some items will be unique, meaning players can only display one even if they earn multiple copies.
Player housing in *Midnight* will feature customizable plots in instanced neighborhoods for both Horde and Alliance, with advanced placement tools and long-term support beyond a single expansion.
