Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered Hotfix Causes New PC Issues
Bethesda has released the first update for *The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered*, but the small 1.9GB hotfix is causing unexpected problems for some PC players.
Originally intended as a minor patch, the update has led to issues with upscaling options, with players reporting that DLSS is now unavailable. Bethesda is aware of the problem and is currently working on a fix, though no official patch notes were released.
Despite a strong launch with over 182,000 peak players on Steam, *Oblivion Remastered* has encountered a few other bugs, including a quest-breaking issue in “The Battle for Castle Kvatch” and reports of lost save files on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Fortunately, workarounds and more updates are expected soon.
On the bright side, *Oblivion Remastered* has quickly gained a thriving modding community, with over 200 mods already available for PC players.
