Genshin Impact Leak Suggests Dahlia May Disappoint Fans in Version 5.7
A new Genshin Impact leak has cast doubt on the viability of **Dahlia**, a 4-Star Hydro character debuting in **Version 5.7**, as early beta testing reveals several issues with his kit.
While fellow newcomer **Skirk** is receiving praise for her combat animations and overall performance, Dahlia is drawing concern for his **high energy cost** and **low Hydro application**. His **Elemental Burst** costs 60 Energy but offers just a **12-second shield** with a **15-second cooldown**, and his **Elemental Skill** only generates three particles — and only if enemies trigger a trap.
Players have also criticized Dahlia’s **passive talent**, which limits his usefulness to **Freeze teams**, and his **exploration ability**, which offers minimal lift for Plunging Attacks. Overall, many feel his kit is underwhelming, especially considering he’s only the **second 4-Star Hydro unit** since launch.
Leaker **Uncle Balls** noted that without strong energy regeneration or Hydro application, Dahlia will likely be outclassed by existing supports like **Mika**, who brings better buffs and healing synergy.
Fans are hoping HoYoverse will adjust his kit before the official launch on **June 18, 2025**, potentially boosting his shield strength or attack speed buffs to make him a better fit for teams like **Wanderer’s**. However, with Hydro being a tightly balanced element, major improvements may be unlikely.
