Space engine Overview
SpaceEngine is a 1:1 scale science-based Universe Simulator, featuring countless billions of galaxies, nebulae, stars, and planets, all displayed in their complete real-world scale. Explore Earth and our neighboring worlds in the Solar System, orbit a black hole at a galaxy countless light-years off or see anything between effortlessly, with no alterations. All of space and time are yours to research — cruise involving the stars in a thousand times the speed of light, and quicken time to observe the orbital motions of a million worlds perform before your own eyes. Every world you experience on your trip will comprise procedural 3D terrain using detailed textures. Whatever you see from the skies — stars and galaxies, planets and moons, asteroids and comets, black holes and neutron stars, star clusters, and nebulae — are yours to research in the press of a button. Spacecraft with Newtonian physics and pilot-assist autopilot features (in early growth but entirely functional ) are yours to fly anywhere in the world from the Flight Simulator mode. SpaceEngine is also quite favorable for founders of mods and add-ons — make your personal planets, star systems, much galaxies, import your personal spacecraft models, produce custom GUI skins, and much more, all readily sharable with other individuals.
SpaceEngine Planetarium capacities:
Astronomy
- All kinds of celestial objects are represented: galaxies, nebulae, stars and star clusters, planets and moons, comets, and asteroids. Known celestial objects are represented with information from catalogs: galaxies (NGC/IC), celebrities (HIPPARCOS), star clusters, nebulae, and planets (Solar System and known extrasolar planets). Areas of distance not yet cataloged feature procedurally generated items: galaxies, stars, star clusters, nebulae, and planetary systems.
Controls
- you’re free to move around the world — traveling seamlessly between any item and any space, from outside to orbit into interstellar and intergalactic space. Moving through distance is as simple as”click and go,” in addition to game-style free flight with the WASD keys or a gamepad. Additionally, time travel is possible: you can accelerate, decelerate, or undo the stream of time and leap into a specified date. Thorough interactive tutorials can familiarize you with the controls.
Pictures
- Volumetric 3D versions of galaxies and nebulae with interstellar dust clouds, and 3D landscapes on stars and planets. For most Solar System bodies, real data from space probes are utilized, with enormous, high-definition feel packs available as complimentary DLC. To get unmapped and procedural planets, the surface is created procedurally with your computer’s GPU. Other features include realistic atmospheric scattering, eclipse shadows, animated auroras and comet tails, and physically-based light warping near black holes and neutron stars, together with revived accretion discs and jets.
System Requirements
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 7
- Processor: Intel Pentium G3240 or AMD FX-4100
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 950 or Radeon HD 8760
- Storage: 4 GB available space
- Additional Notes: VRAM (dedicated video memory) is essential for SpaceEngine – 2 GB is enough to run the program comfortably on lower settings.
