Outlast Trials is the third entry in the bloody survival horror video game. The first gameplay trailer was released by Red Barrels on Wednesday. Geoff Keighley uploaded it as part of Gamescom Opening Night Live.

In 2013, the original Outlast game was released exclusively on PlayStation 4. The success of the original Outlast was enough to release a sequel, Outlast2, in 2017. Red Barrels still controls the franchise and has a new twist for fans: cooperative multiplayer for four players.

“Set in the height of the Cold War era, players take on the role of test subjects abducted by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation,” reads the game’s official description. Players will be held captive in a Murkoff facility and forced to endure a series of mental and physical tortures. They can either survive alone or with a team to save their sanity.

There was no release date or platform information. You can find out more on the game’s official website.

The Super Mario Bros. movie is famously bad — so bad it killed the hopes of any good video game movie adaptations for YEARS. Or… so they say. But what if Super Mario Bros. wasn’t actually that bad? Jenna digs into the history of the Super Mario Bros. movie and gets the answers about why it’s so reviled. And why, just maybe, you should watch it for yourself.
