Ubisoft Says ‘Assassin’s creed Infinity’ is a Story-Driven Experience
Assassin’s Creed infinity – The newest entry to this series is not a free-to play title despite rumors swirling about the potential benefits.
Assassin’s Creed can be compared to your younger sibling. They are your older sibling. As the years go by, they seem to change as much as you have. You turn to them one day and ask, “You like Milkybars, don’t you?” Their reply is, “I used to, but I’ve kind of grown from that phase.” This silence reinforces your horrible mortality.
It’s hard to deny that the older Assassin’s Creed titles are very different from the latest. The new integration of RPG elements, and a departure from the linear stealth-centric mission structure, make them stand out. Long-time fans felt that Assassin’s Creed Infinity was the straw that broke all the glass. This live service title offers multiple time periods and allows players to select from.
In an announcement earlier this summer, Ubisoft stated that “Rather than continuing passing the baton to the game to game,” and added that “We profoundly believe this offers an opportunity for one Ubisoft’s beloved franchises to develop in a more integrated collaborative manner.” It’s difficult to know what Infinity is, as the company hasn’t been specific.
We have now discovered one thing. Yves Guillemot, CEO of the company, stated clearly that the live-service title will not be a free-to-play offering during their second-quarter earnings call on October 28th. Guillemot explained that while it is an innovative title, the game will still have the same elements as all Assassin’s Creed titles.
He said that Infinity “is still in an early stage” and that it was “a big game, but with many elements that already exist in our previous games.” This isn’t a very specific statement, but an insider has revealed that is based on Hitman.
