DONTNOD ANNOUNCES GERDA, A FLAME IN WINTER AND A NEW NARRATIVE GAME RELEASED IN 2022
DONTNOD has revealed Gerda, A Flame in Winter by PortaPlay, collaborating with DONTNOD. It will be available on Nintendo Switch and Windows via Steam.
Gerda: A Flame In Winter is an intimate narrative RPG-lite adventure in World War 2 and the German occupation in Denmark. Real-life events inspired this moving story-driven game. The path of Gerda is a story about a nurse whose life is turned upside-down overnight.
Gerda relies on her wits, knowledge of her community and her instincts to save her family members. She must also be true to herself. This is a story that Gerda tells in the small village she grew up in, Denmark, not on the front lines.
You can make choices through dialogue, exploration, resource management, and relationship management. Gerda’s personality traits and her relationships with others determine the story’s outcome.
Each dilemma presents a challenge and requires critical thinking during war and turmoil. This game asks you the question, “How far would your family go to protect their loved ones?”
Gerda: A Flame In Winter will be available for the PC via Steam in 2022.
