If I am being truthful with myself, I would love to defend you from time to time. There are many games you made that I loved over the past three decades, including Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid. Contra is just a few of them. We weren’t completely honest about why we brought your here tonight. You’re getting into NFTs now, man. Konami, we love and support you.

It has been hard to watch you crumble over five to six years. Maybe there was logic that Kojima made expensive games that took a lot of time to develop. Perhaps you were thinking about how Kojima Productions failed Metal Gear Rising. We don’t know. It was a surprise that it would lead you down the spiral you have been on ever since. You haven’t touched Silent Hill, and the more you say about the Switch Contra games, the better.

Castlevania’s35th Anniversary — a moment to be celebrated — has made you fall for the crypto trap that every other videogame publisher is falling for NFTs. It’s easy to follow the crowd. Your older brother Square Enix wants everyone to buy his knife set. These NFTs that you are selling are not even good. These NFTs are sub-apes. This is a short clip that I made from the NFT preview video. Digital protection against saving or clipping is not a real thing.

This might be even cooler if it were a cube of Castlevania clips on each side. It’s not. But it’s not! Konami, it’s better to sell actual Castlevania posters than to soullessly bury a corpse.
