Insider: ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ Delayed to 2023
We might be a little farther away from the long-awaited Harry Potter Hogwarts Heritage than we originally thought.
Initial announcements of the Harry Potter RPG were made in 2020 with a vague release date of 2021. Avalanche Software Hogwarts Heritage would need more time in the oven. The game was therefore delayed to 2022.
Multiple leaks and reports suggested that the game would launch in the first half of this year. Many believed that the open-world RPG might be close to completion. Unfortunately, we may have to wait another year.
Nearly a year ago, Warner Bros. delayed Hogwarts Heritage from 2021 to 2022. We now know that the game may be in serious trouble and may require further delays. This is not the news wizards around the world have been waiting for.
According to Eurogamer podcast, Colin Moriarty, Sacred Symbol’s host on the podcast, has heard that “the game isn’t coming out this calendar year” and “it’s in some kind of trouble”.
This information should be taken with a grain of salt. Warner Bros. has not yet provided any information on whether or how they plan to delay Hogwarts’ Legacy.
Moriarty declined to give details on the “trouble” that the game is experiencing, but we imagine he is suggesting that things aren’t as smooth as Warner Bros. or Avalanche would have liked. We haven’t seen any of the game since the reveal trailer at 2020’s end, which isn’t a good sign.
According to current rumours, a PlayStationevent will be held next month and give us a new look at Hogwarts Heritagein action. You can expect to hear more information about the game, including a release time (hopefully).
