Highlights from PUBG 15.2 Patch notes
The arrival of tactical items is a major addition to the game – tactical gear gives players something to think about other than gunplay.
Interestingly, tactical gear will take up one of the primary weapon slots, encouraging a new way of playing. Let’s take a look at the new gear that we can expect.
PUBG Drone
The Drone is Tactical Gear that allows players to scout outlying areas safely and pick up items without the need to risk direct combat.
- Drones will populate every map.
- Drones will also be available in Normal Matches, Custom Games and Training Mode, and Sandbox Mode.

- Players will be able to ping as normal while toggled in Drone view.
- The ping icon will appear as a regular ping.
The EMT Gear, a Tactical Gear, allows players to choose to have greater healing potential for themselves and their team. However, it reduces combat flexibility. A teammate can take over a medical support person, which could dramatically change how a gunfight goes.
Krafton is pleased to offer two tutorials to assist new players due to the large number of players who have recently joined the site.
These tutorials will provide basic training and AI combat to sharpen your skills. A new Practice Range will be added. Krafton said that they were observing players practising their target skills on the game walls and decided to create a more official facility for them to practice some aiming.
PUBG 15.2 patch Quality of life improvements
We are particularly interested in Background Noise Reduction. This reduces the noise of other players, which can be distracting. All gunshots, vehicles and other noises will now be reduced. The option will automatically be turned on by default, but you can turn it off if you prefer.
