“Resident Evil village” sold almost 6 million copies in 9 months
Capcom released its third-quarter financial report in 2021. It revealed figures that Resident Evil Village, the latest Resident Evil game, had sold 5.7 million copies in nine months. This is in addition to the fact that Resident Evil VII, its predecessor, has sold more than a million copies each year since its release.
Fans have been delighted with Resident Evil’s recent success as a franchise. The Resident Evil 2 remake was both a commercial and critical success. Although the remake of the sequel Resident Evil 3 did not do as well with its fans, it was still a success.

According to rumours, a voice actor is playing Wesker in Resident Evil 4. This was fueled by fans sharing concept art he claimed to have received from Capcom USA. He also broke his NDA. Fans are trying to make a high-end remake for the cult favourite Resident Evil – Code: Veronica using Capcom’s latest style. They are doing a great job.
Resident Evil Village was not only a substantial financial success for Capcom but also a great critical success. It scored an average of 85 out of 100 on Metacritic, which seems to have lifted the curse placed on it during the previous trilogy.
This spooky game of monsters is doing well, not just in numbers. It was nominated at five Game Awards, the largest gaming award ceremony, and won four Golden Joystick Awards, including Ultimate Game Of The Year.
