UBISOFT’S FIRST ENTRY INTO THE BATTLE ROYALE IS HYPERSPACE.
Ubisoft’s debut attempt at battle royale Hyper Scape was shut down by Ubisoft on April 28. Ubisoft Montreal released Hyper Scape, a free-to-play game, on July 12, 2020. It has been available on the market for just two years.
Ubisoft stated in a statement posted on the Hyper Scape site:
Ubisoft had in mind to revamp Hyper Scape as late 2020 to realize its “full potential”. Ubisoft decided to abandon the skyline shooter despite signs. The publisher had announced Ghost Recon Frontline last year – a free-to-play battle royale within the Tom Clancy universe.
