You can now have a waifu who lives on your computer desktop
MiHoYo, developers of free to play breakout success Genshin Influen, now offer a less well-known app on Steam. N0va Desktop brings interactive waifu Lumi as a desktop background. It can be accessed with just one click.
You can set your cat-loving friend as a live wallpaper on your computer. Like its action-oriented Genshin Impact, Lumi can be downloaded for free.
N0va Desktop has a trailer featuring our girl Lumi and a cat. However, the trailer is not as high-fidelity as the actual app. Lumi is not shown on fully-rendered videos. Instead, she is set against a plain background with various cat ears and nightgowns. Unfortunately, we never get to see Lumi with her furry friend again.
Lumi has received mixed responses despite being available only for five days. Lumi is not very interactive. Each background only has one clickable cutscene. Some complained that the experience and costumes could be downloaded separately rather than included with the app. Lumi received a positive review from Toxic, who wrote “I’m so lonely”, which suggests that Lumi still has a following.
MiHoYo uses negative feedback from fans. The Genshin Imperative Twitter account invited its followers to follow Ella Musk to celebrate the 2 million followers. It stated that if the character had 5 million followers, then miHoYo would invite the controversial world’s wealthiest man Elon Musk to the studio to host a Genshin Impact stream. However, Musk replied, “Can’t wait for to be in Genshin Impact.”
