The ‘Destiny II’ Players are playing a chess game with each other by skipping a hugely important story cutscene.

We are now less than a week away from Destiny2‘s newest significant expansion, The Witch Queen. It’s safe to say that many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Beyond Light in November 2020.

It’s not surprising, then, that players have been devouring the last mission of the current season. This mission went live yesterday. They’ve tried to. The mission’s final cutscene is meant to close the season and introduce the next episode. It’s essential to watch.

For various reasons, this has not been working out for everyone. As reported by PC Gamer, many players have had issues with glitches and bugs that have prevented them from completing their mission. You also have teammates who are just plain arseholes. What’s new?

The cutscene at the mission’s end will be skipped for any player who votes so. This is a fair system. This leaves the door open to trolling. If you want to see the end, it will only take one player to waste your time.

You can view the entire scene on YouTube, but not because you feel forced to.

Bungie announced via Twitter that they are currently investigating issues surrounding the mission. So fingers crossed they’ll also fix the cutscene-skipping problem, as even though it’s not broken, it’s a poor decision. The Witch Queen expansion launched on 22 February. We hope it all gets sorted by then.
