WWE Rebranding House Shows As ‘Sunday Night Stunners’

WWE has a way of making everything sound ridiculous: ‘The WWE Universe’ and ‘Premium Live Events’. They’ve rebranded their weekly house shows to be ‘Sunday Night Shockers’. These will be held on Sundays, as WWE plans to restore some of the old ‘Saturday Night Main Event’ shows.

The change will take effect on the 1st of May, right after Wrestlemania 38. WWE has yet to file for trademarks related to the new branding. However, things could change as we move closer to May.

In the past, house shows were notorious for costing companies money. The strict schedule can often lead to injuries and low morale in the locker room. We hope that the ‘Sunday Night Stunners’ will create a little more buzz in the towns they visit, particularly if they are less like the Saturday shows. We could see more championship matches, with bigger feuds and pay-per-view level attraction.

This could be a turning point for WWE, despite the bad name.
