Treyarch Reveals Vanguard Ranked Game Quit Punishments
Quitters never prosper!
Vanguard members have welcomed Ranked Play to the community, giving them a place focused on competition.
Many people enjoy the process of climbing up the ranks. However, many players quit matches and leave their teammates behind.
Treyarch unveils new measures to discourage players from leaving matches ahead of the Season 2.5 update. Before the update, players could quit a game and then jump back into the action. Players will now lose SR or Ladder Points if they leave early.
Vanguard Ranked Play Quit Punishments
The developer announced the changes via a tweet on February 28. Players will lose Skill Rating and Ladder Points if disbanding from a match.
This is a deterrent because it will discourage players from leaving games, even losing. Quitting will result in more points than those who choose to play the game until the end.
Players were pleased with the addition, with James’clayster from New York Subliners sharing his thoughts and suggestions for improvements to Ranked play. The three-time world champion suggested that he would appreciate a surrender option for someone who lags out in mid-game.
Vanguard is ranked play well.
Vanguard Ranked Play is an improvement over other competitive playlists. I believe that earning stars or placing on a ladder is more irrelevant than the SR made and ranking achieved.
It will only get better with Treyarch focusing his efforts on the mode.
