Daniel Radcliffe Responds To Wolverine Casting Rumours
Another week, another Marvel casting report, eh? People love to put pictures of actors on different characters and see what sticks. It’s so common that it can be quite difficult to keep up with all the top picks.
If you didn’t know, Daniel Radcliffe is the Wolverine. I don’t see it personally. However, I am not here to judge. Wolverine is likely shorter in comics, and Radcliffe is 5’4″ according to Google. This is not something I just happened to know. However, when talking to ComicBook regarding his new movie, Lost City, the actor was asked if it might be possible in the future.
“So many people have come to me saying, ‘Hey man! I heard about the Wolverine news. That’s cool.’ It’s not something I know. He said that he appreciated the fact that someone is going like, “Wolverine’s actually very short in comic books, so you should be a shorter guy to do it!” “But I don’t see myself. I don’t see them going to Hugh Jackman to us. But who knows? Marvel, prove me wrong!”
He has spoken to ComicBook many times about his role as Wolverine. In 2019, the actor stated that he loved the X-Men movies so much that it would make it less likely that he would want to star in them. “And I don’t think I would want to appear in the remakes.”
He seems to be aware of the competition, and it’s a good thing he doesn’t seem too concerned about it. Last month, American actor Scott Eastwood said that he believes that Wolverine fans should create a petition to get him the role. He previously stated that he would be “100% down” to accept the role because he loves the character. A quick Google search revealed that a petition was created on Change.org and had…45 signatures. It might take a few more signatures to get it off the ground.
