“Dying Light 2” is getting a major update with a highly requested feature
Although it was highly anticipated and received very positive critical reviews, died quickly. It doesn’t say much about the game, as Horizon Forbidden West was released two weeks later. Then came Elden Ring which was released a week later.
It was a shame that the hype fell off so quickly, as the title has a lot of potentials. But Techland will now bring more to the table, with a feature that fans had been asking for since its release. Yesterday’s announcement by the developers on Twitter was that the third patch for the game is now available. It is expected to be the most important update yet.
“Survivors, our group is hard at work on patch 3 for DL2 Stay Human. The tweet states that it will be the largest patch we have released to date. It will include many fixes for single and multiplayer modes, as well as a new Game+ mode that will give you more reasons to return to The City.
“We plan to release patch [three] across all platforms by the end of this month. Once the update goes live, full notes will be made available.”
This is right, if you’re looking for a reason to get back into the game (heh), then this is it. Dying light 2 has an apparent 500-hour content library. I don’t see how anyone could have gone through that much and still felt the need to go back for more. But, you do what you can, I suppose.
A little off-topic, but it is important to remind you that the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch. As controversial as it is when it comes down to Switch releases, I would say “somehow”. Cloud gaming is the solution. If you’re looking to take your zombie-slaying adventures into a new, portable world, make sure you have an internet connection.
