Gilbert Gottfried, the beloved comedian and actor, has passed away. He was best known for his role as Iago in Aladdin movies. He was 67.
Gottfried’s publicist confirmed that Gottfried died last night from myotonic dystrophy type 2. This is a form of muscular dystrophy.

He has roles in shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Fairly Odd Parents and Superman: The Animated Series.
