Verdansk Is Returning To ‘Call Of Duty: Warzone’, But Not For Everyone

When Call of Duty Warzone was first released in 2020, it was all Verdansk. Until then, the launch map was removed, and Caldera was installed at the end of 2021 to provide the primary open-world environment for the game. Many Warzone players, who number in the hundreds of millions, would love to see Verdansk in some form or another.

A Reddit comment by Alex Summers, Activision’s live operations manager, confirms that Verdansk will be making a comeback. He said that Verdansk would be returning and that it would be playable on “certain platforms” by next year. You can see the clip below.

These keywords are “certain” as well as “platforms”. Free-to-play Warzone can be accessed on both PC and consoles, while a mobile version was revealed on March 20,22. Summers stated that this version would be available in 2023.

This is consistent enough with Summers’ statements that it is easy to combine two or more and predict that Verdansk’s return to mobile could be limited to the mobile edition. What would they do? To encourage the download of their new game, you can withhold a highly-requested feature. Are bears known to poop in the woods?

This isn’t necessarily to say that Verdansk will not be available on PC and console. A ‘2.0’ version of the game is also in development, which could include the fan-favourite maps. Or maybe it’s the sequel to whatever ‘2.0″ is – which sticks to new-gen, as Activision previously announced, and moves on from all previous maps. Verdansk will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. Who knows what the future holds? Who cares? I’m talking millions. That’s fair enough. This guy is not. He’s more interested in the lawsuits involving the game’s creators and that Bobby Kotick, Activision’s CEO, has gotten rid of Activision.
