League of Legends Character-Themed, LED Effects to prove Polarizing Among Players

You might enjoy a minor League of Legends, but you don’t feel the same as a nightclub in terms of neon chaos.

The League of Legends integration in Signal RGB from WhirlwindFX might be just what you need to pair your techno playlist by The Prodigy to achieve peak performance.

Reddit user DaKrazyKid posted the LED integration. It includes effects for different champions as well as other features. DaKrazyKid explained that “this LED integration also has utility features such as effects that remind you when you reach a certain amount, and effects to indicate when barons and dragons are spawning soon.”

The effects include flashing and pretty colors to make your rig stand out from the rest and maybe even be visible from space.

The integration is still a work in process. Many champions have yet to be notified of their effects, including Quinn and Olaf.

Reddit’s reaction to the integration is mixed. Hellcat727 commented that it “looks cool, but my eyes likely will die during teamfights,” while Sojake_ said that “cool idea, but if this was a distraction from the game, seriously.”

DaKrazyKid responded to these concerns by saying that champion animations weren’t for everyone. You can disable the animations and use the utility effects to remind you when dragon/baron spawns or to purchase items when you have enough gold.

User Tormentula suggested a more subtle version of the integration that might be better for players. He said: “I think it’s just really distracting. Like how the screen flashes on taking damage. That would get really headache-inducing after a few, if not one.

They added that “less is more” when it comes to visuals. You don’t want someone to stop using it after the novelty wears off.

Other users loved the idea and suggested other effects. that said that Quinn’s W should “definitely light up the room”, while egotisticalstoic added that “Ults such as Rengar, Nocturne, and perhaps Rek’sai need a red or dark violet glow.” This makes the hunt seem more intense!

The integration is currently only compatible with certain brands of hardware. If you want to turn your League sessions into mini-raves, make sure your gear is compatible.
