The OWL still allows you to get Overwatch 2 beta.
The Overwatch League will kick off with professional players returning to the OWL following the new and updated Overwatch Rules. Blizzard has launched a new Overwatch 2 beta promotion to celebrate the OWL’s return.
The OWL’s opening weekend, which will kick off May 5, will bring many drops to those who tune in. The OWL will drop 1500 Overwatch 2 beta invites every hour of broadcast. This promotion will run until May 8th, with approximately four hours of programming per day. If you tune in for the full time, there will be approximately 6000 beta drops per day. If you wish to earn rewards from the show, you need to link your YouTube account with your battle.net account. This can be done through your YouTube account sharing webpage.
You can also still receive Overwatch 2 Beta Invites via the beta opt-in webpage on Blizzard’s website. Go to the Overwatch website, and click on the “Opt-In Now” button. You will be taken to the appropriate button as it slides down the page. Log into your battle.net account to get an invitation. You are still in control of your fate. It’s now a matter to check your Battle.net account every hour to determine if you were invited to the Overwatch 2 beta.
You may need to check your battle.net client every two hours if you plan on watching the OWL. Due to beta invite lag, Twitch drops arrive 40 min late to players’ Battle.net accounts. Click the Overwatch tab in the client and then choose the drop-down menu to check if it is there. If you have Overwatch 2 Tech Beta, it will be visible on the list.
