Sea of Thieves Update 2.5.2: Exciting Community Rewards
Sea of Thieves has been updated to patch 2.5.2. There are many interesting PVE improvements that have been made to the game. Players who were dissatisfied with the Legend of the Veil Haunted Islands Voyage may now relax. The Haunted Islands Voyage will feature additional Phantoms for Brigantine and Galleon teams, which is a significant improvement over solo and duo groups.
New Unlockable Cosmetics Added
The remaining Eastern Winds Jade items are now available at the Outpost shops. These new weapons, clothing, and ship parts can be purchased with gold. Pirate Legends now have the option to purchase the Dark Adventurers Tattoo at the Pirate Legend Hideout. You must reach Level 50 in any of the three factions to become Pirate Legend.
Megalodons, Skeleton Ships Are Back in the Seas
The summoning ritual of “The Shrouded Deep” has come to an end. The Megalodons are now back to their normal behavior patterns. Crews will once more be able to encounter Megalodons while out at sea. The skeletal hordes have reclaimed the area from the wreckage of the Killer Whale. Crews might spot the ship cloud again in the sky. This indicates that they will be confronted by the Skeleton Fleet, which they can then engage for loot.
The Latest Update: PVE Encounters Changes in Tow
Due to reduced volcanic activity, Morrow’s Peak Outpost appears to be dormant. This means that crews won’t encounter any island volcanic threats. Players can traverse the island safely and without fear of their ships being damaged. Sirens below the waves will leave longer pauses between their abilities, giving players more time between attacks. Sirens used spam attacks, making combat against Sirens frustrating in previous patches.
Other balance adjustments have been made to address popular exploits being used by players. Increased numbers of players will not be able to unlock more progress towards the True Legend Commendation or achievement in the Legend of the Veil. This change won’t make players feel compelled to search for larger crews. You can find the complete patch notes if you’re interested in all the changes to the balance.
