Norman Reedus Confirms ‘Death Stranding 2’ Is In Development
Hideo Kojima is open about his desire for a sequel to the bizarre and amazing. Although it is a unique and difficult game to get used to, it is well worth the effort. Kojima has yet not announced the sequel despite its commercial success.
There have been many rumours about Kojima’s next project. Some reports claimed that Kojima’s next project was rejected by Sony. Others said he was currently working on an Xbox exclusive. Although Kojima remains tight-lipped, Death Stranding actor Norman Reedus might have revealed that death Stranding 2 may be in development.
Reedus was the leading man in Death Stranding‘s story, Sam Porter Bridges. He recently spoke to Edit. Reedus told the publication that he had just started the second. Straight from the horse’s mouth.
Kojima took to Twitter to share a photo showing himself swinging a baseball bat covered in barbed wire at Reedus, a reference to Reedus’ tenure as a host on The Walking Dead. The bat belonged to Negan, the series’ antagonist. Although it could be a coincidence, it seems like a tongue in cheek response to Reedus’ slip.
Reedus then went on to describe how he got involved in the game. Reedus said that Guillermo Del Toro called him up and said “Hey, there is a guy called Hideo Kojima. He’s going to call you.'” Then, he was in San Diego, and Hideo arrived with a large group of people from Tokyo and showed me the game Silent Hill. He was amazing.
As you all know Silent Hill was cancelled Konami. Kojima left the studio to start Kojima Productions. Death Stranding was thus born. We are so happy it was.
