Nintendo Warns Switch Users As Temperatures Soar
Japanese publisher Nintendo took to Twitter to warn players about the potential dangers of using the Switch handheld console under extreme heat.
This advice is especially relevant for Switch gamers based in the UK right now as temperatures are expected to rise to near the 35-degree mark, which Nintendo designates as the upper limit for optimal use of their console.
The warning was posted via Twitter by the Japanese customer service account of the publisher. It also urges players to ensure that their Switch is properly ventilated.
If the temperature rises above 35 degrees
Nintendo warned in a tweet that the main unit could heat up if it is placed in a hot area. Use a temperature range of 5 to 35 degrees.
This is explained in a follow up tweet. It states that “If the temperature of your main unit becomes too high it may go into sleep mode to protect it.”
